Rikke Gade is an associate professor in the fields of computer vision and deep learning and has been a part of the Visual Analysis and Perception Lab at Create since 2015.

She has had a long interest in computer vision in sports and has been organizing the Computer Vision in Sports workshop as part of the prestigious Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR) since 2013, with a new edition that took place in June 2023.

She has also published a book on the recent trends and advancements in commercial systems for sports analysis. Systems that we are already seeing as part of TV sports coverage, employed by our favorite teams, or ones that we can even soon use ourselves. Rikke will walk us through some of these technologies, tell us a little about her interests in sports, and her outlook on technology, and the future.
