From VR Gestures To Color Understanding with Emilie Arendttorp

Emilie Arendttorp has just started her Ph.D. at Aalborg University, but already has a lot of diverse experience from human-computer interaction, virtual reality and color perception. She will tell us more about her travels to Namibia when she was a research assistant to learn how the indigenous people use gestures and how to best use them to create virtual reality experiences that can preserve their traditions. She is now extending this knowledge to research into how different people perceive colors.

Emilie Arendttorp has just started her Ph.D. at Aalborg University. She loves to travel for her work and has done a lot of research into gestures and communication with indigenous people in Namibia.

She has extensive experience in Interaction design, user studies, human-computer interaction and game development. 

She has now shifted her focus to color perception and understanding and is working more closely with computer vision specialists.

She has interest in fitness and in her spare time she is a fitness instructor Aalborg.
