ABOUT AAU DESIGN LAB

  • how to create products that will solve long-term problems and that people will use, cherish, and love for a long time.
  • how to design products, that are not prematurely discarded, because they have become obsolete either functionally, aesthetically or technically.
  • testing concepts, methods, and new systemic approaches to circular design and development, to extend products' value and lower their environmental impact.

AAU Design Lab is dedicated to finding solutions to the sustainability challenges facing our planet.

Nationally, our head of research Linda Nhu Laursen is leading the 'Responsible Design' research network, which include key senior researchers from every research institution in Denmark at university level. Internationally, the design lab contributes to the PLATE agenda and is part of the commitee. The aim to push Danish design in a responsible direction.

RESQ DANISH DESIGN
