This paper explores designing a sustainable off-grid architectural retreat with a multisensory approach aimed at aiding children with late language development and stuttering, alongside their parents. It integrates thorough site analysis, environmental considerations, and theoretical research to establish design criteria crucial to the process. Case studies inform architectural techniques relevant to the framework.
The design process employs a problem-solving methodology, evolving through discovery towards a comprehensive proposal. Passive and active design strategies, including solar integration, ensure the retreat's self-sufficiency. The project seeks to raise awareness about late language development and stuttering in vulnerable children, advocating for improvement through specialized multisensory experiences and the benefits of off-grid living.

Denne artikel undersøger processen med at designe og konstruere et bæredygtigt off-grid arkitektonisk retræte med en multisensorisk tilgang, som sigter mod at hjælpe børn med sprogudviklingsforsinkelser og stammen samt deres forældre. Gennem grundig analyse af stedet, miljømæssige hensyn og teoretisk forskning etableres designkriterier, der er afgørende for processen. Casestudier bidrager med viden om arkitektoniske teknikker relevant for rammen.
Designprocessen anvender en problem-løsningsmetodologi, der udvikler sig gennem opdagelse mod en omfattende forslag. Passive og aktive designstrategier, herunder integration af solenergi, sikrer retrætens selvforsyning. Projektet sigter mod at øge opmærksomheden omkring sprogudviklingsforsinkelser og stammen hos sårbare børn, og argumenterer for forbedring gennem specialiserede multisensoriske oplevelser samt fordelene ved off-grid levevis.
